Meet Lisa Wright, RN
Meet Lisa, an RN in ICU at Herrin Hospital.
"My name is Lisa Wright and I am currently working as a RN in the ICU at Herrin Hospital. After deciding to return to school in pursuit of a career in nursing I found myself with the all too familiar question of how am I going to pay for this? I heard of the scholarship program that is offered by Southern Illinois Healthcare. This was a tremendous blessing and helped to alleviate the stress of a growing student loan.
Following graduation in May of 2005 I was accepted into the first Critical Care Nursing Excellence program. With the extensive 8 month training I was able to work in a critical care setting. Since that time I have had the privilege to precept the new graduates as they too have entered the critical care world.
I am currently enrolled in a BSN program and am once again looking into the RN to BSN scholarship offered by SIH. I feel so fortunate to work for an organization that puts so much into providing career and educational opportunities for their employees. Thank you SIH for all that you do. "
